Blue Kazoo

At the moment the husband is home. His work takes him away for 14 days at a time, then 7 days at home. This schedule works for us for the most part. I mean lets me honest, 14 days is a long time to be a "single parent", and is when most of my "moments" actually happen. I have hired a fantastic nanny to "kid-sit" for me two days a week while I work. She is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!

Seriously, I mean it! I'm not just saying that cause she will most likely be reading these words one day! I really mean it! She has been a great help! It was quite the process finding her, and I'm glad to have her!

Back to my point (I do that a lot just so you know). Having the husband home gives me a chance, sometimes slim to have a rest! Today, I tried to take advantage of that as I was verging on a head ache due to lack of sleep. I snuck unnoticed (I thought) to my bed. Just as I was snuggling up to my blanket and about to close my eyes, there SHE was. The daughter, with a blue kazoo hanging out of her mouth. Oh please don't! I thought to myself, and then she did it! She started for lack of a better word "playing". It was a most annoying sound, that kept getting louder and louder still!!

What I wanted to say to her was....."Honey, Mommy loves you. That is such a beautiful song you are playing, but sweetie Mommy is trying to get some rest. Okay, pumpkin? Please go play that in the living room. BUT What came out was.....DAUGHTER!! Stooooop playing that kazoo, or I'm going to shove it down your throat!! I'm trying to rest, now get the hell out of my room!!

The daughter replied no, by screaming into the kazoo! I think she's on to me!

Welcome

As a mother of three children under the age of 5 (almost 6), I am faced with the daily chore of being a nice, sweet, up lifting, and loving mother. This can be over whelming and quite exhausting at times. Not to worry though, I have found ways to cope! Blogging, couponing, and FaceBook...just to name a few. Oh, yes and let's NOT forget my bi-weekly trip to The Center For Change!

I am a FaceBook addict and coupon junkie! This lifestyle causes me to spend a lot of time in my little black chair. This same little black chair is where my magic of parenting happens. The sweet, soft spoken mother I strive to be becomes.......the screaming mother on the chair!

This blog is her diary......So hold on tight, leave your "easily offended attitude" at the door and enjoy!
